Course details
In addition to the University’s standard entry requirements, you should have:
- A minimum of grades CCC in three A levels (or a minimum of 96 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC National, OCR Diploma or Advanced Diploma)
- English language and mathematics GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Accelerated study
If you have relevant qualifications or credit from a similar course, it may be possible to enter this course at an advanced stage rather than beginning in the first year. Please note, advanced entry is only available for September start. Please see our information for students applying for advanced entry.

Accreditation of Prior Learning

English language requirements
To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If you require a Student visa (previously Tier 4) you may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS. This course requires you to meet our standard requirements.
If you need (or wish) to improve your English before starting your degree, the University offers a Pre-sessional Academic English course to help you build your confidence and reach the level of English you require.
Assessment for this course will be primarily based on coursework. You will be tested on key topics covered and your understanding of core concepts. Industry-inspired scenarios will be used as the basis for presenting the types of complex challenges you might be faced with, challenging you to work creatively to develop authentic solutions.
Your coursework types will be varied, including reports, essays, presentations and portfolios. In addition, you’ll take part in a project module, which will allow you to conduct your own piece of research or produce a work-based project, which you’ll then be assessed on.
This course is accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Association for Project Management (APM). We will also be seeking accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Building.
As a construction management graduate, your technical skills, business knowledge and communication skills will be highly valued by employers in a range of sectors.
The private and public sector are major sources of employment. Both central and local government bodies offer graduate employment opportunities in this area.

The technical, management and professional skills you’ll gain during your studies are also valued by employers in other sectors, such as renewables, engineering, manufacturing, general project management and management.
Should you wish to continue your studies at a postgraduate level, the School offers a master's course in Construction Project Management. If you study your undergraduate course at London Met, you could also be eligible for a 20% discount on your postgraduate fees.

Whether you are new to the subject, or already on a career path within the industry, our Construction Management BSc has been designed for you. Upon completion of the course, you could progress on to become a professional within the built environment. You may wish to become a chartered construction manager or even a chartered project management professional.

The University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) accepts applications for full-time courses starting in September from one year before the start of the course. Our UCAS institution code is L68.
