This innovative Business Management degree, designed in conjunction with industry leaders, will provide you with insights and understanding of contemporary business themes including entrepreneurship. The course equips you with vital business skills and provides you with an opportunity to practise them in both traditional and virtual business environments. This course will equip you with the key business skills and knowledge needed to succeed in multinational organisations. We provide an in-depth understanding of all stages of the business management process, from conceptualisation to strategic evaluation.

You'll study a broad range of fields such as finance management, economics, marketing, strategy and human resources, and get the chance to apply your theoretical knowledge to real-life, up-to-date case studies. You’ll also hear from specialist guest lecturers, visit a variety of organisations and participate in online business simulations throughout your course. The University’s business incubator, Accelerator, will prove an invaluable resource for flexing your entrepreneurial muscles and will allow you to participate in sessions and competitions to support your aspirations in business.

You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in work-based learning as part of your degree. This will give you real-world experience that will set you apart from other graduates when you enter the job market, as well as giving you the chance to put your newfound knowledge to the test.

On completing the course, you’ll receive your Business Management BA (Hons) degree and a Level 6 Chartered Management Institute (CMI) diploma.

Course details

In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:

  • a minimum of grades CCC in three A levels in academic or business subjects (or a minimum of 96 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC National, OCR Diploma or Advanced Diploma)
  • English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)

If you don't have traditional qualifications or can't meet the entry requirements for this undergraduate degree, you may still be able to gain entry by completing our Business Management (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) degree.

Accelerated study

If you have relevant qualifications or credit from a similar course it may be possible to enter this course at an advanced stage rather than beginning in the first year. Please note, advanced entry is only available for September start. See our information for students applying for advanced entry.

Accreditation of Prior Learning

Any university-level qualifications or relevant experience you gain prior to starting university could count towards your course at London Met. Find out more about applying for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).

English language requirements

To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If you require a Student visa (previously Tier 4) you may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS. This course requires you to meet our standard requirements.

If you need (or wish) to improve your English before starting your degree, the University offers a Pre-sessional Academic English course to help you build your confidence and reach the level of English you require.

You'll be assessed through individual reports, business plans, group presentations and seen/unseen exams. Some modules will require you to produce an e-portfolio including real-life investigations and tasks.

The final-year dissertation will allow you to utilise all previously learnt knowledge and apply it to a self-designed research study within the subject area. Throughout your studies, you'll have one-to-one support from your supervisor.

You'll gain a Level 6 Diploma in Management and Leadership on completing this degree.

This course will give you the skills you need to pursue a career as an entrepreneur or to work in business management as part of a national or multinational organisation.
