This online nutrition course is designed for those who have studied science at A Level and are interested in learning about Nutritional Science. The course has been designed by our Dietetic and Nutrition academic team and is designed to meet the requirements of a 15 credit module at Level 5.
This course teaches you to:
- describe the function and key sources of macro and micronutrients, and their relationship with human metabolism and the maintenance of good health
- explain the concepts of balance and turnover, plus how energy and protein are conserved and utilised in metabolic pathways
- discuss the role nutrition plays in obesity and other non-communicable diseases
On successful completion of the course you'll be issued with a course completion certificate.
Assessment
The course will be assessed by:
- one scientific report
- online multiple choice tests and other short online activities
